A day visiting the Nisga’a villages

Today we had the opportunity to visit all four Nisga’a villages: Gitlaxt’aamiks, Gitwinksihlkw, Laxgalts’ap, and Gingolx!

It was wonderful to return to the Nass Valley, reconnect with community members, and continue learning about the opportunities for supporting children and youth through our reading, math, and mentoring programs.

We ended the day with dinner with David, sharing conversations about our work and the  opportunities ahead. David used to be an Executive Coordinator in LBN. David now works as a kinesiologist and helps as a Program Supervisor in our programs in the Nass Valley. Thank you David for helping to assess over 20 students these last few weeks!
