Community connections in Kyuquot

Today we spent the day exploring beautiful Kyuquot and learning more about the community.

In the evening, we attended a community dinner celebrating educators and school staff. It was wonderful to see community members come together to show their appreciation for teachers and Elders and recognize the important roles they play in supporting children and youth.

These visits continue to remind us that meaningful educational partnerships begin with listening, building relationships, and understanding the strengths and priorities of each community.

We are grateful for the hospitality we’ve received and look forward to returning in February to continue our conversations with the Ka:’yu:‘k’t’h'/Che:k’tles7et’h’ First Nations.
